The air campaign against Mike "Hoax El Hefe" Nifong has been unable to deliver a decisive knockout blow. Bombs, bombshells, hand grenades, spitballs and insults keep getting dropped, shot, or thrown at the rogue Durham Minister of Justice, but nothing has stopped his unholy march to a trial. The trial itself has become his unholy grail:
"If a case is of such significance that people in the community are divided or up in arms over the existence of that case, then that in and of itself is an indication that a case needs to be tried."Many smart military strategists have made a miscalculation and believed that overwhelming air power (or evidence) alone will win a war (just ask Israel). When positions have been hardened for almost seven months, like this Duke hoax, bombs and bombshells don't work. The enemy has to be rooted out. Bombs don't win wars, grunts (voters or jurors), the boots on the ground win epic wars.
Durham's first wave of "boots on the ground" head to the polls on Tuesday. Propaganda leaflets are everywhere.

Maybe, just maybe, the grunts can find a way to pull Mike Nifong out of his spider hole.
